There are two large buildings resembling the shape of Taos Mountain. Some Taos people live here like their ancestors, without the amenities of running water and electricity. The rest of the Taos people live in the conventional abode.
The architecture of the main building of Taos Pueblo is unique with straw and mud. This architecture blends well with the earthy surrounding. The doors are bright blue. While exploring Taos Pueblo visit the San Geronimo chapel, the studios and gaze at the fascinating ruins of the cemetery.
Taos Art Museum is another tourist attraction in Taos. This museum is in the house of Nicolai Fechin, a Russian artist. The collection of this museum depicts the cultural and artistic fabric of Taos during the 19th and 20th centuries. There are a range of displays in the museum including images and panoramas of the Hispanic people and Native Americans.
San Francisco de Asis Church in Taos is a famous Taos tourist attraction. This church is unique with a modern adobe sculpture. This church has no windows or doors. Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is another attraction in Taos. This massive bridge spans the greatest river of the Southwest. The height of the bridge from the canyon floor is 650 feet.
