Chimayo is a census designated place and is situated in the northern region of New Mexico, United States. Chimayo is also known as the Portero de Chimayo and to describe its location it could also be said Chimayo is a settlement that is situated in Santa Cruz, which is situated 25 miles north and west of Santa Fe (the third largest city of New Mexico, a state situated in the Midwestern region of the United States). This
place is primarily known for it’s privately built chapel known as the Santuario de Nuestro Senor de Esquipulas.
